ARC OXFORD GETS TOP RATING FROM TRIPADVISOR GROUP AS IT RELOCATES TO THE CAMPUS
Tripadvisor Group has relocated to ARC Oxford, taking the entirety of building 8100, to support their activity-based work model. The new office represents a multi-million-pound investment and reaffirms Tripadvisor Group’s long-term commitment to Oxford and the UK.
The move places Tripadvisor at the heart of the city’s world leading innovation ecosystem, joining over 30 organisations and becoming an integral part of a powerful knowledge economy.
Tripadvisor Group currently employs around 600 people across its two UK offices in Oxford and London with its Oxford team made up of knowledge economy employees from Viator – Tripadvisor Group-owned travel experiences marketplace.
“We’re pleased to strengthen our presence in Oxford,” says Matt Goldberg, President and CEO of Tripadvisor Group. “This new office is designed to encourage collaboration and fresh thinking through activity-based work, creating an environment to drive innovation and new ideas that enhance the experience for travellers around the world.”
The 17,000 sq. ft building underwent a full refurbishment and fit out, designed to enable collaboration and community and to support Tripadvisor Group’s activity-based working practices. The office features secure quiet and noisy workspaces, bike storage, changing facilities, and EV charging points.
David Williams, Senior Director of Leasing at ARC said: “Tripadvisor is a wonderful addition to our community of innovative companies at ARC Oxford. We’re thrilled that Tripadvisor chose to be a part of our fast-growing community spanning digital, deep tech and life science organisations.”
ARC has ambitious growth plans which will see the current 514,000 sq. ft Oxford City space double in size as it brings new laboratories, cleanrooms, offices and cutting-edge R&D facilities to the campus. Work is already underway after the campus gained planning permission for Ascent. A building designed to accelerate innovation and once operational is estimated to create approximately 500 jobs and contribute £38 million GVA to the economy annually.
ARC Oxford is part of ARC’s network of clusters, joining Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, ARC West London and ARC Uxbridge. The company has five million sq. ft of development potential planned across the UK’s Golden Triangle, with three million sq. ft planned at the 700-acre Harwell site.
