OMass Therapeutics Raises $310M in Series C Funding to bolster its drug developments
OMass Therapeutics, an Oxford University Spin Out based at ARC Oxford has raised $310M (£230M) in Series C financing.
As a provider of small molecule therapeutics for endocrinology and immunology, the company intends to use the funds to advance its lead program, OMS1620, through Phase 2 clinical development in congenital adrenal hyperplasia a genetic condition affecting hormone levels produced by the adrenal glands. The financing will also support OMass’s work generating initial clinical data for a drug for lupus, the autoimmune disease, and other diseases associated with the overproduction of interferon proteins.
The $310m (£230m) funding is the biggest in 2026 after the $2.1bn raised in May by Isomorphic Labs, with the funding round being co-led by Bain Capital Life Sciences, Forbion, and Novo Holdings, with participation from Janus Henderson Investors, SV Health Investors, Jefferson Life Sciences, Syncona, Oxford Science Enterprises, GV, Northpond Ventures, Sanofi Ventures, British Business Bank, and University of Oxford.
Led by CEO Ros Deegan she added: “We have demonstrated the ability of our team and approach to discover and deliver a pipeline of first and best-in-class programmes in endocrinology and immunology into the clinic.
