Women’s Health Seminar with Dr Katie Barber
Join us in Oxford Works for an open, practical session on menopause and women’s health with Dr Katie Barber, founder and Clinical Director of Oxford Menopause Ltd, an award-winning specialist menopause clinic recognised at the Oxfordshire Business Awards for both its women-in-business leadership and its health and wellbeing work.
Date: Thursday 30th April
Time: 12:00 – 13:30
Venue: Oxford Works, ARC Oxford
A British Menopause Society-accredited menopause specialist and experienced GP, Dr Barber has spent over 20-years working in women’s health, leading NHS menopause and community gynaecology services, and delivering talks and training across sectors including the NHS, schools, universities, law firms, police forces and global businesses.
In this 1.5-hour session, she will cover what menopause is and how it can show up, premature ovarian insufficiency, myth-busting, lifestyle tips, and hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options, with plenty of time for questions in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Menopause affects everyone who has a woman in their life – partners, family members, friends and colleagues – so this event is relevant whether you are experiencing symptoms yourself or want to better support others.
