ARC shortlisted for two awards at the Life Sciences and Research Clusters Awards 2025

ARC has been shortlisted in two categories at the upcoming Life Sciences and Research Clusters Awards 2025 for its pioneering work around creating inclusive and flexible spaces for scientists working on the world’s greatest challenges.

Alongside Pioneer Group and Sheppard Robson, ARC is a finalist in the Innovative Workplace Design Category for its work on neuroinclusive design. ARC’s industry first research revealed that the proportion of neurodiverse individuals in the science and tech sector is twice the global average, emphasising the critical need for workspaces that accommodate all minds.

ARC’s proactive approach has turned research into reality for its current developments at Harwell Campus including Lumen House and CO:LABS.  Through thoughtful design, flexible layouts, and sensory-conscious choices, ARC has redefined what inclusive space means for high-performance science and tech environments.

ARC is also shortlisted in the Innovative Lab Space Solutions Category.  ARC’s spaces at its West London Campus are enabling life science and tech companies to grow with agility. By offering adaptable inclusive lab infrastructure and a collaborative ecosystem, ARC is supporting early-stage and scaling companies as they progress from discovery through to development and commercialisation.

The ground floor of ARC’s Refinery building will be home to ‘Leap, powered by Imperial Incubator’, a new, novel coworking space which launched in March 2025, providing individual lab benches for early-stage scientists to access state-of-the-art facilities and support without the financial burden of expensive upfront infrastructure.

It’s also the location for ARC’s renowned Motherlabs, London’s first accelerator space managed solely by a commercial organisation. Motherlabs offers flexible grow-on fully fitted CL2 labs/office suites, all-inclusive rents and short leasing options that cater to evolving funding cycles.

“We’re delighted to be recognised for two awards. Our commitment to asking the right questions and engaging with the scientific communities we serve is fundamental to our approach. By prioritising empathy and inclusivity from the outset, we are setting a new standard for real estate in the science and innovation industry.” Jenny Gardner ARC’s development director.

The Life Sciences and Research Clusters Awards celebrate the extraordinary firms, projects and visionary professionals who are leading the way in life science and research building space. From iconic new builds, to innovation in design and construction, the awards will highlight those who are setting new standards in excellence.
